Low Cement Castable (LCC) is a type of refractory material used in high-temperature applications. It is a monolithic refractory product composed of fine and coarse aggregates, a binder system, and additives. As the name suggests, LCC contains a lower percentage of cement compared to traditional castables, typically less than 3% by weight. This reduction in cement content improves its performance characteristics, such as higher density, better thermal shock resistance, and reduced porosity.

Low Cement Castables are widely used in industries such as steel, cement, petrochemicals, and power generation, where they line furnaces, kilns, ladles, and other high-temperature equipment.
